Fishing Report For Jan. 8 – 16, 2015

While our owner Leonardo Leao was hobnobbing with all the beautiful people at the Dallas Safari Club Convention last week, I was entertaining 24 guests aboard our 125 foot luxury yacht. My guests drank like fish, gorged on chef prepared meals, enjoyed some beautiful weather, and landed some monster peacock bass. They also picnicked on private beaches, had daily massages, and visited some remote villages.

Sorry Leonardo. I think we had the better time!

All told the group boated over 1,600 peacock bass and almost twice as many dogfish, barracuda, and piranha.Bill Thomas led the pack last week with a 22 pound peacock.  Mike Minadeo was a close second with a 21-pound brute. Jobeth Cowart came in just behind him with a 20 pound leviathan. And John Roberts came in fourth with an 18-pound peacock. An interesting thing about Mr. Roberts is that this is his eighth time to fish the Amazon.

That’s a man that enjoys the finer things in life: a great trip, a fantastic adventure, and world-class service.

Come down here and you’ll feel the same.

I know this because I know Amazônia.
